Dilden Dile — learning Romanian in Turkmen

A platform that teaches Romanian to Turkmen speakers living in Romania: grammar, vocabulary, an AI tutor and games, as an app and a website.

I work on this with the developer who builds it. My side is everything around the product rather than inside it:

    • shaping the concept and deciding which features are worth building first
    • writing and organising the lessons, materials and translations in the CMS
    • running user support, passing feedback and bug reports to the technical side
    • helping grow a community of around 2,000 followers

The platform is deliberately specific: Romanian in Turkmen, for Turkmens, because that was the gap nobody was filling. Lessons run from A1 to B1, vocabulary is drilled with spaced repetition, and the AI tutor Selbi answers grammar questions in Turkmen.

What I am proudest of is that it is genuinely used. People who move to Romania and do not speak the language have somewhere to start.

Rumyniýada durmuş — life in Romania, explained

A free guide for Turkmens living in or moving to Romania: residence permits, everyday practicalities, emergency numbers and places worth seeing.

The problem this solves is simple. When you arrive in a new country, the things that slow you down are never the big ones — they are the small ones. Which office to go to, which document you need, what a form is actually asking for.

I contributed the content ideas and the structure: what belongs in the guide, in what order somebody actually needs it, and how to phrase it so it is useful rather than official.

It covers the residence permit, minimum wage and net pay, everyday practicalities, what to do in an emergency, and a few places worth seeing — written in Turkmen, sourced from official information, and free. The site also states plainly that it is not a government service and cannot replace legal advice, which matters when people are making decisions about their papers.

Alongside it there is a community chat, so people can ask each other the questions a guide cannot answer.
